油性赋形剂;溶剂

棉籽油主要用作肌内注射制剂的溶剂。也可用于静脉注射乳剂,作为全营养输注疗法的脂肪源,但这一用途已经被大豆油乳剂取代。本品也可用作胆囊照相术的佐剂,以及灭虱药和杀螨剂。棉籽油具有植物油的营养作用和软化特性。由于不饱和脂肪酸甘油酯(尤其是亚油酸)的含量高,棉籽油在预防和治疗脂肪沉积性动脉硬化症中,用于控制血胆固醇的饮食水平。棉籽油用作注射用溶剂或辅料;其他药物制剂中的润肤剂;口服温和泻药(剂量为30 mL或更高)。棉籽油也可以阻滞胃液分泌和胃蠕动,增加热量摄取。此外,可用于肥皂、人造奶油、猪油替代品、甘油、润滑剂和化妆品的生产。 棉籽油已被用作乙酰氨基酚片的黏合剂;热熔体流化床包衣的表征;生产稳定的口服散剂;酶的包囊化;以及在水分散体中用于药剂包衣。

储存条件

玉米油稳定,应置于充分填充、气密、避光容器内,于阴凉、干燥处贮存。

来源与制备

棉籽油来源于陆地棉Gossypium hirsutum Linné或其他棉属Gossypium(锦葵科Fam. Malvaceae)栽培植物种子的精制不挥发性油。种子中约含15%的油。首先将种壳分离,然后用液压机压榨核仁。粗油亮红色或暗红色,需进一步纯化以满足食品和药用要求。 棉籽油的精制过程为:用稀碱处理以中和酸、用硅藻土或活性炭脱色、减压下通蒸汽除臭、冷却分离出甘油酯和高熔点的树脂状物质。
